There is one story from GN, that why CPP, one of the biggest HDD contract finally choose GN Solids Control, without any connection before which should be the essence of Chinese business.Yes, we sieze a chance to prove ourselves, go back to old days, CPP prefer US products, and buy from our competitor, no offence, but they are not so happy with such oversea after sales, and also time difference and so on, especially comparing with the expection after high price been paid.
So when their unit have problem, they need some one to handle it, GN Solids Control helped with that. Proved our professionality, and get another chance that they will try our system.
Here comes another, one big player in TBM, before purchased Schauenburg desander to recycle the water. And now have problems with shaker screens and shaker motors, then here we go.
One of the for sale unit from Boramtech:
Feed rate: 300 m³/h
Bulk feed rate: 80 t/h
Replacement Option from GN:

1 According to the circuit diagram connect all unconnected lines, such as centrifuge pump motors, plug-in of shale shaker and mud cleaner, Vacuum Degasser electric motor or Vacuum Degasser Starter and receive motor.
(2) Check all electrical steering and part of the test;
A, start 1 # centrifuge pump, check the steering direction, adjusted it to clockwise from the view of motor, and check if there is any abnormal sound. After checking all above, make sure the inlet valve and outlet valve of centrifuge pump is open, start the centrifuge pump to detect the no-load/full-load current and voltage, and take notes of the figure. Take this test when the current and voltage is possible.
B, before starting the shale shaker, please check foundation bolts if stable enough, disassemble 4 sieve box fixing bolts and then loose four rotating bolt, rotate the fixed block in 90 degrees and fix it. Meanwhile, fix the 4 4 sieve fixing bolts on the fixed block. Confirm there’s nothing foreign matter in the sieve box. Start the shale shaker only the screens are well fixed.
C, the shale shaker part is familiar with section b.
D, Check whether the vacuum degasser is well fixed, and then open the plug of liquid gas separator to filling water up to the maximum level of the content gauge. Press the start button, check the direction of rotation is consistent with the rotating arrow guard posted above the shield; and check if there is any abnormal sound. After checking all above, open the ball valve of exhaust, when it’s in a semi-open state, start the host, when the host runs well, start the vacuum pump, check the pump rotation direction is consistent with the direction of pump head and check the sound. All checking all above, adjust the exhaust displacement of ball valve and then adjust vacuum gauge to stabilize between 0.025 to 0.065.
E, fix the income transmitter, press the start button of it, check the screw rotation direction is consistent with the direction of the outlet pusher.
F, stabilize the mud gas separator, connect the exhaust manifold and the inlet mainfold.
3 water or mud debugging;
A, water flow into any compartment of 3# mud tank via the manifold on the 3#mud, after precipitation water or mud will overflow to the shale shaker or mud cleaner. Or directly to the shaker and mud cleaner, mud or water can flow anywhere can be controlled by valve. Mud in 3# tank can only be discharged through the outlet settled below .

We have found the following label on screens on desiler unit:
120 mesh
GN Solids Control
Size 900x750 mm
We did not find any labels or signs on screens on the shale shaker so we are not sure what is there. Please check at your engineering department and maybe they will confirm to you. Questions:
- what API number is for 120 mesh screens?
- What API number is for 40 mesh screen?

Please comment what does it mean 120 mesh?
If this is 120 mesh, what is API number for these screens and what is D100 separation value (in microns)? Please comment. Actually according our technology, following derrick wiring tech, normally 40mesh is API40, 120mesh is API120, unless different screening technology is required, can not always reverse.
Pls refer our brochure here http://gnshakerscreen.com/images/GN%20Shaker%20Screen.pdf and derrcik screen brochure. We ordered two different types of screens and received all screens the same (API 40, 394 microns). Please comment why we received not the same screens as ordered by our company.
And please be so kind and comment what does it mean API 40? If API 40, so what is a value of mesh ? http://www.halliburton.com/public/bar/contents/data_sheets/web/sales_data_sheets/sds-048.pdf This might be a good link for you, D100 to API in page2. This API40, 394 microns, between 40~50mesh, take it 45mesh, http://www.showmegold.org/news/Mesh.htm

I have reached a very exciting stage in the project I have been working on for two and a half years. After 12 months of build I finally have a rig I can start promoting.
My rig is purpose built for the Australian CSG industry, but may also have applications in doing cheaper top hole section drilling on oil and shale projects in Australia. She is design for rapid mobilization with minimal environmental impact. It also incorporates all safety features expected in modern drilling rigs, such as enclosed driller cabins and hands free drilling operations. How ever the rig is still a simple, robust design, where I have intentionally avoided the use of computer or PLC control systems to keep maintenance costs to a minimum.
CMD220 Unconventional Gas Drilling Rig.
· 100 Metric Tonne (220,400 lbs.) Pull Back
· Telescoping Hydraulic Mast
· 24,750 Nm (18,255 ft/lbs.) Torque
· Range III Tubulars
The CMD220 is a competitively priced, custom designed rig that has been built for the Australian market. This rig has been designed from the ground up to exceed international standards and comply with Australian requirements and legislation.
The CMD220 project is a Joint Venture between Cortech Drilling Equipment Co. (China) and GasDrill International (Singapore). Technical and service and support will be provided by Oztec Manufacturing of Toowoomba, Queensland (Australia).
Australian compliance engineers have been thoroughly involved to ensure that the CMD220 meets ADR requirements at every stage , from design all of the way through the factory build, and including the commissioning.
Independant test labs have commissioned for the build period to ensure the quality control and certification of all welds and lifting equipment.
Moduspec are assisting with the build schedule and have planned factory visits for crucial stages of the build to ensure the rig will pass their auditing system.
The factory has applied to the American Petroleum Institute (API) and is currently being audited for API Monogram and Specification 4F certification. We expect to have Certification the end of 2014.
Australian Engineers from RYCO Hydraulics have assisted in the design of the hydraulic system and have carried out audits to ensure that RYCO hoses and fittings are installed to comply with the Australian Mining Standards MDG-41 and MDG-15.
The CMD220 comes as an easily transportable trailer mounted package. Great care was taken in the design stage to ensure that the rig is compliant to travel on Australian roads without the need for escort vehicles. The rig will be permitted to move on Australian Roads on a one off “Period Permit†lasting up to six months.
The CMD220 is of a simple design compared to other rigs of comparable size. The CMD220 is fitted with a pivoting Top Drive and tubular handling equipment built into the BOP Sub Base Structure.
The unit is self-erecting to a work height of 3.5m without the need of auxiliary Pony Bases.
The CMD220 is ideally suited for shallow gas, surface hole, CBM, directional and large diameter drilling applications with mud or air.
We are aiming to have the first rig landed in Toowoomba by the end of 2014.
